Salary: in the region of £26,500 (pro rata) – part-time position (3 days a week) maternity cover for 12 months
Dorset Race Equality Council is looking for a part-time Community Development Officer to join its current team for a 12 month period. It could consider a secondment opportunity from a local partner organisation.
You will need to demonstrate the ability or experience in managing community projects and initiatives, supporting and developing Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) groups and volunteering within the community. You will be experienced in or you will have an understanding of partnership working and be required to monitor and evaluate projects and initiatives.
You will also need to have a good understanding of the key principles to community development work, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
You will need to demonstrate the ability to travel throughout Dorset.

Are you a passionate AFC Bournemouth supporter and at the same time are you enthusiastic and dedicated about providing excellent customer service? We are looking to recruit a select group of supporters, who can commit to volunteering with AFC Bournemouth on matchdays
You will be part of the matchday team and will be a visible point of contact providing information, directions and responding to any queries that home or away supporters may have. You will also be involved in assisting disabled supporters, interact with younger fans, help with match specific tasks and give feedback to assist the club, with the goal to try to improve match day experience for home and away fans.
By being a matchday ambassador, you will play a pivotal role in promoting the best quality of customer service and to enhance supporters’ matchday experience.
• Availability and commitment to attend all home matches, league and cup, throughout the season which could take place on weekdays or on weekends, at day or night time. We also require attendance during Easter holiday fixtures because some matches will fall during theses periods.
• AFC Bournemouth Premier League match ticket included for own use.
• Must arrive at Vitality Stadium on matchdays 2.5 hours prior to kick-off.

Dorset Race Equality Council (DREC) is seeking to fill the post of Chief Executive Officer on a permanent basis. Salary starting from £34,538.
DREC is working to challenge racism across Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole to achieve a more integrated society. We wish to appoint a permanent Chief Executive Officer to move us forward in this exciting and growing area. The successful candidate will work with the Board and staff group to reach out to the diverse population of Dorset, to implement the Equalities Act, address hate crime and promote new initiatives with public bodies and minority ethnic communities. The CEO’s role is to implement the strategic direction set by the Board but also to ensure the organisation operates as effectively and efficiently as it can within its limited resources. The CEO will lead on fund raising, communication and ensuring the organisation meets the targets set by its funders.
