Dorset Race Equality Council (DREC) is seeking to fill the post of Chief Executive Officer on a permanent basis. Salary starting from £34,538.
DREC is working to challenge racism across Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole to achieve a more integrated society. We wish to appoint a permanent Chief Executive Officer to move us forward in this exciting and growing area. The successful candidate will work with the Board and staff group to reach out to the diverse population of Dorset, to implement the Equalities Act, address hate crime and promote new initiatives with public bodies and minority ethnic communities. The CEO’s role is to implement the strategic direction set by the Board but also to ensure the organisation operates as effectively and efficiently as it can within its limited resources. The CEO will lead on fund raising, communication and ensuring the organisation meets the targets set by its funders.
