Here is what our Health & Wellbeing groups do:

 BME Carers’ Network

The Dorset Race Equality Council has convened a Carers’ Network to enable people from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities to provide feedback on their experiences and input into service development. The network will also be used to disseminate information about the support that is available for people with caring responsibilities, with a view to boosting the registration of carers from BME communities.

 BME Health Involvement Network

The Dorset Race Equality Council is developing a network of people from Black and Minority Ethnic groups in Dorset, who act as community representatives and feed into consultation activities by the NHS Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), in order to shape service provision to their needs. Information is also disseminated throughout the network to enable people to make healthy choices and get more out of existing services.
