Generation Exodus - Public Talk at Bournemouth University

Event title: "Research Seminar: Generation Exodus"

Speaker: Professor Otto Hutter, former Regius Professor of Physiology at the University of Glasgow, and Bournemouth resident. Professor Otto Hutter is a Holocaust survivour, who escaped from Hitler’s Vienna by Kindertransport in 1938.

South West Dorset Multicultural Network's Annual General Meeting - 21st May 2015

The SWDMCN Annual General Meeting is taking place on Thursday the 21st May from 6pm-8pm at the Town Hall in Dorchester. This year the guest speaker is Nigel Costley, South West TUC Regional Secretary. Nigel will be giving a very interesting presentation ‘’Talking about Immigration in the South West” where he will explore some of the myths and misconceptions about migration.

Exploring Spirituality through Art - Community Exhibition

10 a.m. until 5 p.m. from Monday 18th May to Friday 29th May 2015.

Bridging Communities, Borough of Poole Museum & Arts Services and local
artist Jason Miller have joined together to help local people express their experience
of spirituality today.
The project was created by Bridging Communities as a way for the people of Poole to
explore and understand themselves as a spiritual community, moving into the future.

A series of creative workshops have taken place, which explore thoughts, feelings and ideas around the spiritual in life. These have been hosted by a number of community and faith groups locally and a selection of this work has been curated into a temporary exhibition of community creativity by local painter and sculptor, Jason Miller. Alongside the creative community workshops, students from Poole High School and members of The Poole Passion have relished the opportunity to explore personal feelings and spiritual themes under the inspirational guidance of local performance artist, Sharon Muiruri. Summer Meadow event - International Children's Day

It’s a special event to celebrate International Children's Day.
Kids are encouraged to participate in different activities, such as animations, singing, dancing...children will be able to celebrate their day in their own way.
