Dorset One World Festival - Saturday 9th August 2014 – 11-5pm – FREE, Borough Gardens, Dorchester
Final preparations are being made to the Dorset One World Festival, a celebration of the diversity of cultures in Dorset through world music, dance, food and activities.
The programme of live music and dance spans the globe with performances from artists from China, Africa, India, Chile, Europe and the Caribbean.
You can enjoy a wide selection of cuisines from the Global Food Village whilst soaking up the cultural sight and sounds in the lovely setting of the Borough Gardens, Dorchester.
Workshops and demonstrations include: Bollywood Dance, African Drumming, Kabbadi sport, traditional clothes show, visual exhibitions, cooking demonstrations, plus a poetry & history walk of the gardens, an interactive art sculpture and a Kids Zone for crafts and face painting.
